Residential English Speaking Camp

A Place Where English Is Spoken, Lived, and Learned

This residential camp is designed to do one thing: help students speak English with confidence.
Set in the peaceful seaside town of Hua Hin, just three hours from Bangkok, the programme gives students daily opportunities to speak, present, and communicate in English in real-life situations. It’s not about grammar drills or tests—it’s about building real confidence.
From breakfast to bedtime, students use English with purpose. They leave not just with new vocabulary, but with the ability—and courage—to use it.

English Is Spoken

Speaking Comes First

In most Thai classrooms, students study English for years but rarely get the chance to actually speak it. At this camp, we change that. Every student is encouraged to speak up, try new phrases, and grow in fluency and confidence—without fear of mistakes. Each morning begins with three hours of high-energy, speaking-focused lessons led by trained instructors. These are not grammar lectures or silent worksheets. They’re dynamic classes that get every student talking—individually, in pairs, and in groups. Our approach is based on two internationally respected systems from the UK:
Trinity College London GESE

Trinity College London GESE

GESE stands for Graded Examinations in Spoken English. It’s a UK government-recognised exam that assesses students’ ability to communicate in real-life situations. There are no written papers—just a one-to-one conversation with a teacher or examiner. Students learn to express opinions, talk about their lives, ask and answer questions, and manage natural conversations. It’s ideal for Thai learners because it removes the fear of ‘getting it wrong’ and encourages genuine speaking.
We use adapted Trinity speaking task sheets, question banks, and conversation prompts aligned to student levels. These allow for personalised speaking practice while also introducing students to the structure of the GESE exam if they choose to take it later.

English Speaking Board

English Speaking Board (ESB) Skills for Speaking

Founded in 1953, ESB was the first exam board in the UK to assess students on their ability to speak clearly and confidently. The Skills for Speaking syllabus builds 21st-century communication skills through short presentations, structured storytelling, and discussion.
We use ESB topic cards, visual cues, and scaffolding templates that help students organise their thoughts and present their ideas in a logical, confident way. It’s especially effective for students who are shy or unsure how to start speaking.
Lessons are interactive, practical, and designed to get students speaking as much as possible.

Afternoon Excursions

Afternoon Excursions with Purpose

After lessons, students head out on local excursions designed to put their English into action. This is where classroom language becomes real. Students explore temples, beaches, and markets while completing speaking tasks such as:
  • Giving a short talk about what they see
  • Interviewing vendors or local guides
  • Asking for directions or prices in English
  • Working in teams to complete missions
Everything is supervised by experienced staff, and all excursions are local to Hua Hin—safe, fun, and full of opportunities to speak.

Evening Review & Reflection

Speaking With Purpose

Each evening, students get together in small groups to talk about their day. They share what they’ve learned, what they enjoyed, and complete fun speaking tasks. These moments help students build confidence, practise vocabulary, and speak freely without pressure. The focus is on making language meaningful. With gentle support, even shy students take part. These sessions are not lessons—they’re relaxed, natural conversations. Students listen to each other, speak in full sentences, and grow more fluent every day. It’s the perfect way to finish the day and prepare for tomorrow’s adventure.

Building Confidence Together

There’s no test, no script—just time to talk. Students sit with their friends and take turns speaking about their day. Some tell stories, others ask questions, and everyone gets a chance to join in. Teachers help guide the sessions using fun topics and simple prompts. It’s a safe space to practise speaking without fear. These daily reviews bring the group closer and help students find their voice. Over time, they speak more clearly and confidently. It’s a simple habit that builds strong communication skills—and helps everyone feel proud of what they’ve achieved.
